For this year’s Holiday Catalog Campaign, HobbyTown reached out to Firespring to create an integrated digital campaign that celebrated the return of holidays past. Following the 2020 holiday season and Christmas—smack dab in the middle of the pandemic—were a shell of their usual selves. Looking toward the winter of 2021, the return of some normalcy and the country continuing to climb out of the pandemic, Firespring developed creative that would embody a season of togetherness—making up for lost time and restoring traditions, especially our favorite ones. Enter the holidays with your favorite hobbies.
“The Gifts of Gathering” holiday campaign included custom photography, a catalog microsite and digital ads. The campaign encouraged holiday shoppers to find gifts to gather around—items that were best enjoyed with one another rather than alone. It’s a perfect position for HobbyTown, a major retailer of board games, puzzles, models and RC cars.
Digital ads and social media ads drove shoppers to HobbyTown’s 2021 holiday catalog microsite, a sectioned and scrollable collection of featured products for the season. It also encouraged shoppers to support their communities with exclusive in-store coupons to be used at their local HobbyTown. Firespring shot the custom photography used in the campaign.
